Friends and Kindermusik Families:
It has been an interesting summer and fall, having sold my Kindermusik studio effective June 1, 2008. I will begin a new phase in my career this January when I begin studying for my Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Music Education at Kent State University.
As I study for my degree, and assist in teaching classes for undergraduates, I will look for opportunities to continue teaching and sharing music with young children and their families.
This will be my last post on this blog. Connect with me on my new blog: www.terrilenzomusic.blogspot.com. I'd love to hear from you!
I believe that Kindermusik with Miss Terri & Friends is now registering for Winter/Spring Semester, 2009. It is a wonderful program, musically and educationally. Call them at: 330-655-8499.
Keep singing and making family music!
Love,
Miss Terri

Dear Families: With my own children entering high school, I wish to return to public school teaching and continue my mission of child-development through music education. To do that, I must leave the studio in good hands. I am pleased to announce that Kathleen Heydorn (see profile below) has purchased the studio. Her background in music, education, business, AND experience as a Kindermusik mom will be a great benefit to all of you. See the new academic enrichment classes she has added for summer and fall!
It's been an amazing 12 years! Keep singing, dear ones and may God bless you all.
Terri Lenzo, B.M., M.F.A
Level II Orff-Schulwerk Certificate

Kathleen Heydorn has been a Kindermusik Mom since 2001. She has a Masters in Early Childhood Education from Kent State University. As part of her graduate work, Kathleen researched the benefits of music on the cognitive development of young children. Kathleen has taught in various early childhood settings including the Kent State Child Development Center and at H. Barbara Booker Montessori School in Cleveland. Kathleen previously designed and taught a Toddler Enrichment class at Kindermusik with Miss Terri and Friends. As the owner of The Nanny Connection in Hudson, she has continued to focus her energy towards her passion for children. As a strong supporter of music being a vital part of early childhood education, Kathleen looks forward to presenting new classes combining academic enrichment with music, art, and movement designed to promote both cognitive and social development in young children. Kathleen spends her free time volunteering at her children's schools, as President of the Rotary Club of Hudson Clocktower, directing the K-1 choir at her church and enjoying her children, now ages 6 and 10.

Wow. Gas prices. What can we do?
I think I'll start a "Gas not Goodies" campaign. We have to have gas. We do not have to buy anything else at the gas station, however, and, by foregoing the goodies, we'll also be healthier!
Gas not Goodies!
Try it for 2 weeks, and let me know how it's going!
